Overview

The Oriel Operational Risk Framework is an intuitive software tool designed to facilitate the proactive management of operational risk. It incorporates process, risk and control mapping, self-assessment test scheduling, loss event analysis and corrective action planning. The inherent flexibility of the Oriel software means that it is suitable for use in any industry.

Historic trend analysis and benchmarking of key risk indicators (KRIs), risk and control effectiveness ratings and test/metric results enable easy identification of areas of greatest risk. Managers can be alerted in the event of breached triggers, overdue tests or corrective actions which combined with user generated reports ensure that information availability is relevant and timely. Reports generated as HTML (web pages) or XML can be transformed into other formats for ease of analysis and distribution.

Oriel was originally developed in partnership with one of the world's largest financial services companies to aid compliance with Basel II. Since then we have worked with partners and customers to extend and strengthen the product, resulting in a browser based solution built with Microsoft's .NET technology.
